yea ik ab that TT but just bc it was the norm doesnt mean that its automatically okay though ^^ i dont really have that much of a problem w it i just found it a little off ? esp bc shes still physically a minor but i do still love their relationship though!! /g

yea i definitely agree TT really weird though but maybe its bc men (until now) particularly liked and/or are infatuated w children, specifically girls, so they could be in charge of them, especially since children r easily influenced, as the patriarchy encourages (pressures) them to be above women or just everyone in general. idk just my observations Lawl i could be wrong at some points though ^^

So in the novel it's covered that they are both minors. He's an adult when he turns 20 and she's an adult when she turns 18. Weird, yes but in their world they are both underage.

But even if we talk about today's standards, I think their age gap is still fine. If he was 21 or 22 I don't think it would be ok though.

Her problem is not the AGE GAP its bc aria is a minor. If we're talking abt today's standard it is morally wrong for an ADULT to lead a minor and have a relationship with them (wether the relationship is sexual or not.) So in todays standard him waiting for aria to become 18 doesn't really change the fact that he, an adult is leading a 16 yo on. But as i said before back then it was how the society worked and girls got married at young age so no one is blaming asher here
