kind of a cute read but chae-heon is weirdly controlling and overly jealous. controlling as in his questioning and obvious insecurity whenever jeongyoon is with anyone so he spams his phone and sends daggers towards anyone jy is around, but jy is so whipped because…. yeah, first love, love at first sight, all that
i already thought this before the first time i read it but the childhood trope is genuinely so weird to me because 1). why was it introduced so late into the story, and 2). the flashback to their childhood with the 8-year age gap when they were kids—seme looks and IS a young adult compared to the uke????
other than that, the story was good up until the ending, which was too quick for me with a lack of chasing from the seme. it ended so abruptly, but the newer side stories were PHENOMENAL… holy artstyle. the MC is the prettiest male/uke in all of the webtoons i’ve read—i can’t get enough of the artist’s decision to give him that hair color with the corresponding eye color, so gorgeous.
just finished this and i give it 4 stars, mainly for the breathtaking artstyle. i also teared up a couple times throughout the story, especially from ash’s gentle actions and their dialogue. but honestly, the “chasing” was nonexistent—they spent a month apart, which is A LOT for what they were both apparently feeling, but during that month, it felt like nothing really happened on ash’s end. i could feel karlyle’s hurt and sympathized with him deeply but ash got like…. 5 sentences of inner monologue max and the author wanted to make him seem like an equal yearned to karlyle also, the side stories really threw me off. why is ash being so weird and the consent is dubious asfk. yes, their “safe word” in one of the chapters is “honey” but this dude KNOWS karlyle is uncomfortable with voicing pet names and making him confess his PLANS TO PROPOSE TO YOU JUST BECAUSE YOU THINK YOU KNOW HIM SOOOOOO DEEPLY through dubious play is so ridiculous and disgusting. it was uncomfortable to read and ash was literally not like that in the main story, except during his rut towards the end, which was also not that enjoyable to read but the knotting made me tear up. overall, a really good plot, infuriating at times, karlyle is a beautiful character inside and out, and i understand the hype now. just too many other odd instances for me for it to be a perfect story.

brooo finally reading this after seeing it blow up out of nowhere on socials and i surprisingly loved it so much! i only avoided it since it was so popular but i understand why: luke is such a lovable and strong mc. the pacing at the beginning threw me off a little bit but their relationship is developing so well and it’s so cute. holy shit, Joo Hawon’s dad is actually bat shit crazy when i first saw him, i was like zamnnnn, like father, like son, then as i kept waking up at 2pm after sleeping at 4am for three days straight reading this and learning its plot clearly, i’m at a loss at how genuinely evil he is and him showing aeil kwon how to make stuffed heads or whatnot actually tops the cake i feel for hawon so bad, he couldn’t catch a break since he was born pls let him and jahan have their seaweed farm
one of the best pieces of literature i’ve ever read, i’ve cried twice from the flashbacks of both of their memories and the plot twist was just something else, really. will never be able to experience this for the first time again

I think not crying after reaching the ending feels worse than crying from it—I have an empty hole in my heart now Finally read this after my friend recommended it to me (she knows I like these types of tragedies) and I loved it so much: the religious trauma was so well-depicted and well-written that I cried, and the scene of his father blaming him for what happened just goes to show how Alan was right all along and that his parents don’t care for him. The events leading up to the tearful ending hurt even more than the ending alone, but it made reading the ending so much more worth it. I hope Hayden and Alan reunite in their next lives like Alan says
honestly i see a lot of mixed reviews abt this but i think it’s so well-written and super amusing (a bit biased since i love my funny stories). i love how every chapter is so funny and has clever little jokes in every other speech bubble, and the miscommunication is honestly understandable with the mixed information that MC is always given. the art style is also super cute and i absolutely adore how there’s a menu whenever they’re having a meal it’s not annoying enough for me to dislike it, but the trope should be over soon lastly, uke is so freaking cute ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~ i love him
i hope the artist draws that one freaky chapter of inseob dressing up as a cheerleader for wooyeon to reenact their high school days or some shit like that, there’s at least 10 volumes left need that shit translated
