there is an animation called "hikari be my light", long of smt like 40 minutes and it's awesome, and you WILL cry SO HARD in the end but it's sooo good please give it a chance

one of my all time favorite series is hate mate & i think it fits this vibe. i don't especially like yakuza stuff but twittering birds never fly is great & fits this to a tee. you'd probably like some of the short stories of est em or syundei too (phenomenal writers & not too hard to get through tbh). maybe ten count as well & cherry blossoms after winter is decent and works here?

- if you want to try something short, any of the short stories by est em or syundei are always phenomenally written & sometimes a tearjerker
- i don't especially like yakuza stories but love twittering birds never fly, really great although it's on the darker side
- hate mate for a real treat, one of my favorites and you go between crying and smiling
- ten count is pretty god & fits i think, cherry blossoms after winter is decent too

just when you say you want doomed, you mean you want smt where the end is super sad and youre bawling your eyes out ? sry im a little stupid (￣∇￣")

Yesssss either that or its like an impossible relationship to get into. Both are good but i would prefer sad ending… wouldn’t be opposed to the idea of both mixed.

then ENNEAD and The fallen lamb are good, ENNEAD is very painful to read and the mc doesnt allow himself to be happy (it's not finished !) and The fallen lamb has a bad ending but it's really short, like 9 chapters. i have more like those two if you want
