I love how they represent Christianity in this story as well. It’s not a vehicle for hate but gives strength and clarity. It’s very realistic. Sometimes they’re angry with God, sometimes they read the bible for comfort.
EVERY WRITER ON THE PLANET NEEDS TO TAKE NOTES! This is how you write a d’aman love story. Equal parts mystery, heartache and longing.
That's true... This reminds me of how old romance stories were written that doesn't just serve one POV and by serve I mean in favor of one Character. Or at least to those that I remember.
The story isn't only being told it was telling itself, and we get that because the characters weren't added as an ornament for the sake of it that seems to be a trend for years. In here they add to the events as if they were alive and we're reading about lives of real people.
To write like this is sometimes hard to do though, so kudos to the author of Broken Ring and those who tried.
I’m honestly tired of this. It was good for a long time but as it goes on I feel like it’s not moving towards a decisive ending and we just keep going down random rabbit holes of secret sects. We don’t even see the cult interact much anymore which would honestly save it for me. This has become 20 chapters of political crap and then 15 chapters of the MC single-handedly making his enemies single handed.
