Chase is a victim of Grayson's help, although it helped, it caused some trauma on Chase. What Chase wants it that Grayson understands that his help has hurt him, so they think kidnapping Grayson, making him unable to talk back, would help Chase making that clear to Grayson. While actually Grayson's development in this story is what is really needed. Since it is not about beating up Grayson or so, it's about him understanding Chase.
