The ending is giving that the author was told that they had to make jinx at LEAST 100 chapters before they could end it and this is what they came up with. I just don’t think Kim dans suffering is proportionate to the very few wholesome moments we got at the end. Hopefully the side stories will clear things up

Personally I think that them both taking time away from each other is the best thing they can do. Kim Dan needs to be in a position where he can live for himself without having to rely on anybody, and JJK needs to reflect on his actions some more and deal with his inner demons. It’s frustrating for the readers, but I honestly feel like this redemption arc is progressing pretty well.
