i wrote a whole ass paragraph and it just disappeared when i posted it so im gonna shorten it down.
whether we like mincheol or hate him, he is not a side character. his past, his pain, his role in this story is significant. to ignore him or to not receive a backstory would make the whole story shallow.
just because we are receiving a backstory does not mean it is to make us feel bad or to excuse his actions. its to show his and na haesos backstory. their love, how everything went down, even her pregnancy. i really enjoy receiving backstories and understanding how people became who they are now. i especially love his because i had many questions about their debt, her pregnancy, and how a loving couple turned into this.
it just annoys me people saying ‘hes still a cheater!’ or ‘who cares about his backstory’. obviously his backstory does not condone his actions. and yes I CARE about the backstory because i like knowing how and why! just my two cents.
This is so beautiful. I’ve never cried this hard while reading. Their growth, backstory's, (facial) emotions, were all just so beautiful written and it felt perfect. The more you read, the more understanding you become. It’s a story driven by emotion, and it expresses the characters so well. I would 10/10 recommend. In my opinion, a must read.

i feel like i can enjoy most manhwas but i just cant find myself liking it. like ofc hes a sadist we get it. bdsm yay. but shes not even showing any signs of being a masochist. like idk if shes gonna slowly become one but i just cant find myself getting into it if shes literally crying and saying pls no but then da hoe is money hungry so shes like ya and then sex happens and shes like noo! idk ywhat im saying anymore. but i hope someone gets what i mean. i would enjoy way more if she was like turned on and showed hints of it but theres deaduzz nothing.
