This is so beautiful. I’ve never cried this hard while reading. Their growth, backstory's, (facial) emotions, were all just so beautiful written and it felt perfect. The more you read, the more understanding you become. It’s a story driven by emotion, and it expresses the characters so well. I would 10/10 recommend. In my opinion, a must read.
I don’t understand the dislike of her choice. We are forgetting the main reason she wanted to go abroad in the first place. It was due to the fact that she wanted to get away from her parents and that place she lived. She does not need the art degree nor needs it, she saw it as a way out. Her choosing happiness and peace does not make her weak. She has been unloved majority of her life. And he said it himself, if she truly wants to go— he can fund it. It’s not like she’s shackled down because she got married.

i wrote a whole ass paragraph and it just disappeared when i posted it so im gonna shorten it down.
whether we like mincheol or hate him, he is not a side character. his past, his pain, his role in this story is significant. to ignore him or to not receive a backstory would make the whole story shallow.
just because we are receiving a backstory does not mean it is to make us feel bad or to excuse his actions. its to show his and na haesos backstory. their love, how everything went down, even her pregnancy. i really enjoy receiving backstories and understanding how people became who they are now. i especially love his because i had many questions about their debt, her pregnancy, and how a loving couple turned into this.
it just annoys me people saying ‘hes still a cheater!’ or ‘who cares about his backstory’. obviously his backstory does not condone his actions. and yes I CARE about the backstory because i like knowing how and why! just my two cents.
