Once she marries them any sort of harm inflicted on the emperors would be transferred to her. In one of the chapters the ML’s tea gets poisoned and she gets poisoned instead. The FL was older than ML and then they get separated cuz of war and the FLs letter weren’t being sent to ML so when the ML returned all grown up the knights hated her and wanted the ML to marry the silver haired princess instead. I also remember her researching something and then coughing up blood.
