I read the novel, though only halfway cause, for some reason, they took it down. So what's left of what i know is that, the father visited three potential candidate to be her partner and he rejected all of them cause they fall short from the standard ideal type given by juvel. So the father decided to her partner. She also gave the cufflinks to him before going to the party and damn was he happy ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~ So when they arrived at the party, mikhael was also there to see who her partner was and who she gave the cufflinks to. Seeing that it was her father, he was relieved, but this narcissistic sonuva-- thinks that she was only doing this to get his attention yet again. Her reputation also rise because of her personal gift for rose, the birthday celebrant, and also because her father went to escort her.
Now, the crown prince was also there, though hidden, he also knows about the rumors about mikhail from an informer of his that works as a salon owner (the one that gathers nobles to gossip) and boy was he mad at him. He wanted to kill the guy but restrained because it might scare juvel and ran away from him. And he also knew about his teacher finding a suitable fiance for juvel and wants to ask him (the father) about it. In which he also knew the the standards set by juvel and thought that he passed all of the requirements.
And then, there's rose. The girl loves juvel that she treasures and hides all her letters in a safe box and reads them when she can. And after her party, she kepps inviting her to tea patries and gatherings that kept her reputation rising again. Seeing as she really did changed and matured. Many suitors also delivered letters and gifts that her father is burning them lols. Its a shame that i can't tell more since this is where the novel stopped. ┗( T﹏T )┛
Oh! also the misunderstandings are going to become bigger than this so her journey is going to be full of laughs all the way (≧∀≦)

yes, he is a very doting father but he doesn't show or he doesn't know how to show it since the chapters already said that he always boasted about juvel.
