The author has said on twitter that we will find out more about Gyeol and Suyeon's
previous relationship in season 3, not that season 3 is about Gyeol.

I think we are more likely to see Yunho harm himself rather than attack Gyeol or Suyeon. If he tried to kill someone he would probably end up in jail but if he harms himself he might be hospitalised and in therapy.

The author has also said on twitter that this story will have a happy ending but I've learnt that an author's happy ending isn't necessarily the same as the readers.
