Chapter after chapter I just end up feeling bad for Hyesung. He’s so naive and his feelings for Jungwon are genuine and he puts forth his best effort to be a good boyfriend. Meanwhile there’s a whole arc about Jungwon not knowing anything about Hyesung and he only did all those things to make up with him and say what you want about the whole eating disorder thing that was also off-putting. Just not enjoyable to read but I also understand it’s a difference where it’s a mental illness to me vs the social norm in Korea mind you Hyesung isn’t fat at all, and he always gets backhanded comments about his body which is really disappointing. I skimmed through the last chapters and I get the overarching theme is supposed to be body positivity but I guess the way the author tried to go about it in a humorous way fell flat for me, especially because it seems like Hyesung slimmed out by the end of the story. Cherry on top is that Jungwon is annoying, unlikable, and I feel like his character design got flanderized in a way ? Like he just looks inflated and caricature-esque compared to the early chapters. Makes for an interesting story to say the least but it’s not as fun to read when you can just get that instinctual feeling that if this were a bit realistic they would never last long term Jungwon is just a mean spirited person and a horrible boyfriend
I’ve read so much yaoi nothing ever really gets me anymore but WHEEWWWW this chapter was so buzzy I need 500 of them please
