this manga is so fucking stupid and yet so good at the same time. would be up there as one of my comfort reads if I didn’t get pissed off at random intervals. What did those squirrels even contribute to the plot
the way I can’t even figure out the main couple or second couple when it should be obvious this is GREAT
this has been recommended so many times that i gave it a second chance, but i can’t help but wonder if im missing something. even putting aside the way they met, MC and ML’s lack of chemistry is genuinely baffling. in no universe am i convinced they’re in love. MC has a crush at most, but the ML? he needed at least another dozen chapters of actual yearning. i think the story was juggling a bit too much to handle the “romance” well, and rightfully so — i was one thousand percent more interested in MC’s trauma plot than him having random sex with the ML for the fifth time or whatever — but it insists upon hinging on a dynamic that just falls flat for me.
i don’t know. It doesn’t even feel like they actually got to know each other well. the world building and general concept are great, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired.

jokes aside this is the first time I’ve seen a “godlike” character portrayed so perfectly. there have been countless manhwas that have used this concept but i have not genuinely believed it until now. Merely demonstrating enormous power doesn’t cut it - the author has done a stunning job of making you believe it down to your bones. Even when our lovely third young lord no doubt surpasses him, i will likely still have him as the pinnacle in my head.
a ridiculously good story. im torn between marinating and keeping up, but idk if ill be able to ignore updates
i had alot of fun watching this story devolve into absolute nonsense. call it what you want, but a mark of a good tale is to make it distinct. Out of all the typical villainess manhwas I’ve read that I’ve forgotten, this is definitely one I’ll remember. My favourite character was actually Lady Didier, who I felt had potential to be much more ruthless than depicted. I do wish we would’ve gotten a proper confession scene of FL’s past with Isaac, but at this point, I don’t think that would’ve done anything whatsoever. Even her personality seemed to get nuked there at the end. (I think the point was that she was finally able to “act as herself”, but as with everything else in this story, the execution was just terrible).
if i had to put a pin on it, the last i felt this way was after reading Alice in Wonderland. That sort of dreamlike narrative….
objectively, 5/10. subjectively 8/10

MLs for these stories are either A) stoic B) yandere or C) (rare) goofballs. Thought Rudiger was a stereotypical A but my guy is funny af . I also love love love how real and mature! the romance is in this—I’m tired of reading adult characters w highschool ass romances. My only nitpick would be Judith and Luca’s relationship—even though they had quite a bit of screentime, it still felt like there was something missing in the buildup. Luca felt like a side character far too often for someone so firmly in the center focus. Hmm. The villain was also very one dimensional. Rudiger gaining his memory at the end though was so peak I’ll turn a blind eye to all of it. Beautiful. 9/10
