I'm genuinely confused cos what was he expecting them to do with 2,500 bikes? ATP MC is just looking for ways to p*ss himself off and not to be offensive or anything but what big company doesn't have a little scandal? You can never please everyone working for you and some people just lie about this stuff.
I think he expected that the company has some need for the bikes, and they chose MC family company out of good will….and maybe ordered a few more extras because they want to treat MC well, that’s why MC accept it while asking for them to order less. But it turns out, the ML family is doing this as a charity that doesn’t benefit their company at all, it even attract negative feedback from the internet.
He feel shitty that he’s been given a charity out of nowhere like a beggar (which ML a family probably see this as pocket change, which emphasizes even more how different they are). And now he’s seeing the internet ripping apart the people that he care about (ML family) while he’s benefitting from it. If things are gonna get this messy, maybe ML should’ve told him or consult with him first, so that they can compromise what gifts/benefits MC feels alright to accept based on his own values.
