I do think their relationship is lacking emotional connection and personality (personal values, family embers, etc) which is why it could feel lack luster, bland, or empty.
Definitely was a mediocre story but I am happy for them and I’m so glad their relationship worked out! I think the HS pining is cute and I wish it expanded more on that and their personal lives, but it is what it is
