this was a surprisingly cute read but my only question is why are the kids only one race? It would make more sense if they came out as hybrids
I guess the author was trying to make it more realistic in the sense that living beings would never be able to switch between races (even if animal hybrids ever became a thing or if they found a way for men to get pregnant).
