Despite the humor and jokes in this manhwa, the serious and deep parts of it really hits too close to home. May all those who also experienced it have a bright future ahead of you, just like Jinhyeong!
TGIS IS SO PEAK WHAT??? THE SETTING, THE ATMOSPHERE, THE STORY, THE CAHARACTERS, EVERYTHING. I read this on my way to uni all the way to my last class in the evening. The gut wrenching scenes, the intimate scenes, everything was chef's kiss.
I really love the fantasy theme (which is the main reason why I stayed lmao) and how the story tells yiseon's constant struggle because trauma is not that easy to erase nor forget (which some manhwas and bls always just magically erase their trauma). It is repetitive on some chapters but that's how PTSD is, there's no escape. Having mental issues is not easy to overcome with and they showed it in how he will always go back to square one, and that happens A LOT when it comes to trauma that not many people think. One moment, you think you're healing, and the next you're back to where you started—which happened to him to several chapters.
Another note, I love how yiseon's healing journey was somewhat realistic and how the "power of love" didn't magically healed him—it built the sense of warmth for him. It caused him to both have a sense of security and it also made him go to a spiral
IT could've been better if there were build up on hyeon. He was fine, their story together was okay but there's something missing. Like a bay leaf on a dish—you don't know what it does, but you know when it was not used typa shi. They had the typical "I plan on doing this to you/using you but then I suddenly fell for you" trope but I like how yiseon wasn't the typical dumbo bl mc.
I over analyzed this lmao (psych major) but nevertheless it was a good read. The romance could've been better but hey it's good

This manhwa had so much potential LIKE SO MUCH. It was even trending in TikTok at one point, but man that ending was so rushed. It felt like a college student tryna rush a 10k word essay on pies that is due in like 20 minutes.
