Half the reason the novel is fun is because Dane is a living punishment for Grayson being awful! And it is weird to see people going 'noooo, Grayson is just a sweetie pie' when in the chapters already out it makes it clear that he constantly tells people he loves them only to ghost them a few days later and is actively considering torturing people for information.
