No matter how many times I reread this I cannot like the Mother. And I use mother here because as a Queen she's probably doing a good job(not great considering the state of her subjects but I digress), but as a mother she is awful. If I had a premonition that my baby was going to end up awful, I'd raise my baby so they wouldn't! Did it ever occur to her that her avoiding Pryde might be one of the reasons she turned evil in the first place?? God, I cannot for the life of me like her at all!!
