ummm no. aperrently the guy is no longer a mermaid. you see, the girl transforms into a mermaid when she touches water (according to my hypothosis anyway). the man didnt turn into a merman when he jumped into the ocean/sea/whatever it is to save the girl.

go to page 68-69. he turns back into a merman when he jumps in to save her. they both are merfolks in the ocean and human with legs on land. its hard to tell because both of their tails are blue but they both have it while in the water.
in this story, supposedly, when a human drowns and a siren sees the human, they make a contract. this contract makes them switch places. the human turns into a siren and forgets his/her human past while the siren that kissed the human instead of staying a siren becomes human.
but, this time, that situation didn't happen. the siren became human but is still a siren and the main character becomes a siren but is still human with all her memories.
so, like chapter 4 showed, when they are in the ocean (or water) they will be sirens but on land, they will be humans.

I get the same feeling when my boyfriend broke up with me saying confidently while smiling "I dont need you" argggghhh!!!!
been reading this for a very long time and it made me realized something...takano's face is no longer squarish long...it's now even more finer with no edges...while onodera's, there are some changes too...well it cant be helped if the art style is having progression... what do you guys think? :D
Absolutely every mangaka's art goes through a transformation as the years go by. Some are VERY drastic and for the better (Kodaka Kazuma), some are more subtle, but still noticeable, as is the case with Nakamura Shungiku. Unfortunately, there are some mangakas whose art becomes of poorer quality as time goes by. (Takatuski Noboru) I really don't understand how that works.

Its like the mangaka of super lovers..at first its a bit crappy for the earlier batch of mangas she made then later as years go by her art style became much better. By the way I think she and nakamura-san are working together... :) improving fujoshi's world hihi
It breaks my heart! Especially that bath tub scene where he can no longer say "daisuki" to Shingo, this chapter is so heavy.. i cant take it! :( I paused for a moment and remembered all what Shino has been feeling regarding "drifting apart" slowly..
Still craving for answers.. That left me wondering why and how..after watching the movie.. I hope this one will give me the answers.. Oh Friday :(
