I didn’t read the story myself but saw Someone said this is not HE where two ML get happily ever after.the bottom get revenge on both the emperor (killed) and the top (enslaved) by becoming the new emperor(overthrowing the previous emperor). “The bottom transforms into someone else and is unhappy because he’s never loved” is what they say.

The representation of DID in this story is not realistic, but i dont get why you sounded like you had a high expectations since this is clearly a Yaoi, a fiction which focuses on entertainment not education. Author clearly didn't wanna overlook the DID that much and wanted to focus more onto their feelings and etc, i understood your complaint though.
