I’d say banana fish? it’s actually very different, but the protagonists (Yashiro and Ash) have a similiar “fate” and are both in some kind of yakuza/mafia organization, but both characters have a very different outcome from their past. The second MC was kinda dragged into this life. A lot of fighting, street gangs, drugs etc. Slow burn, drama, sadness. Has an beautiful anime adaption, I’d definitely recommend this but it’s definitely not for weak hearts!

I'd say legs that dont walk its pretty good with some hardcore themes give it a shot!

Honto Yajuu is totally NOT similar to Saezuru but it will help you move on a little bit from this masterpiece...it's a cute manga with a really really healthy relationship I really do recommend it it's a must and plus the uke is a yakuza too!

someone brought it up but legs that won't walk kinda has the same vibe as saezuru, you're never gonna find sum as good as saezuru let's be honest but it's really not that bad even tho for now it's kinda boring (legs that won't walk I mean ) but the debut chapters are really interesting and might get you hooked just like it did for me :)

same tho the recent chapters are really annoying it’s all just about seggs when all I want is the mfin plot,, it started so well tho that’s honestly so sad

If you want a good yakuza manga it’s definitely acid town , the plot is amazing and gets really tragic sometimes , however they don’t characterize emotions in the same way saezuru does. I guess give it a try

Maybe try Dark Heaven. Not Yakuza but still one of the greatest yaoi mangas as well in my opinion
