The beginning was OK but the pacing went haywire in recent chapters... such a waste of potential

Having read the novel, I must say this adaptation really doesn't do justice to the flow of the original plot, neither does it do justice to HYJ and SHY especially. The birthday arc especially got glossed over and serious moments made comical, and the upcoming arc will probably have the same treatment despite it being a huge turning point for the relationship between HYJ and SHJ...

ikr! I love both take and pacing tho. usually when i read the novel i ditch the manhwa but for this I enjoy reading both.

it’s so sad bc i loved how the novel treats hyj and shj’s relationship. like yeah i was expecting the manhwa to do this kinda bs and gloss over it but actually seeing it hurts so bad

I am not prepared to see how they'll potentially remove/change the more emotionally charged scenes later on... Like HYJ insecurities and his breakdown is definitely gonna be glossed over :'))) I think the manhwa adaptation art is very nice to look at though (even if it has changed a little since S2)

right! so when i read the manhwa it's happy fun times, and when i read the novel it's to understand the story more.
