reminds me so much of the old action webtoons i used to read (noblesses special mention). this is the perfect blend of comedy and action... got me rushing through the panels lmao.

i'm impatient, so i thought i would've dropped this after my initial comment... but i finished it lol. it's fun, it's cute, i enjoyed it.
absolutely plotless with coffee being the main character haha and the romance was cute! extremely unobtrusive and gently nudged within the coffee coated chapters.
(just weird plot points:
- changing the maid of honor's design, threw me for a loop
- durian coffee making her win... as a durian lover, her win was kind of underwhelming lmao. i thought she was gonna make latte art or smth
- !!! time... everything is always a month or a few months later... so confusing. personally choosing to assume her coffee journey spans years
- also the adanta trees... so unbelievable that ALL? the coffee supply came from their duchy's garden... omg)
still enjoyed it tho hehe
as someone who hates coffee (i hate its effects, legit canNOT sleep after 1 cup, we don't have decaf rn) she made me crave AND DRINK coffee lmao
and i mayhaps teared up when the younger brother had a bite of food, reminded me of chihiro and her onigiri
so good? had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. love the female characters, all of them so complex and wonderful (all of them!!!) obvi my fav is dooyak ahihi <33
love love love the reveals, so i wasn't really nerve-wracked the entire time but i was always excited going to the next chapter for the reveal. genuinely what a masterpiece lmao.

almost gave up on this because of the unfortunate translations at the beginning. but after chapter 23 ... i have been nonstop crying. this is actually a beautiful heart-tugging story about found family (even between a son and mom). it's so sweet and ahhhhh
also shout out to the art. it's so beautiful??? genuinely in awe with the anatomy at times lmao
my eyes have been swollen from how much i've been crying! genuinely a stressful, angsty, heart-wrenching rollercoaster ride
stayed up all night to finally finish this! oh! chills during the unfolding of what happened between the emperor and the hero, genuinely so peak!!! so fun and frankly chilling at rare moments

anyways... i enjoyed the politics of this i liked how everything unfolded so funnn
almost quit after the first chapter... i know, loser behavior, but i pushed through and told myself if i still didn't like it by chapter 80, i'll quit. i did not quit... i think this may be the first manhwa's side stories that i didn't immediately ignore! astina and terriod have such a wonderful relationship, absolutely adore how rational she is especially when breaking down terriod's actions and realizing he was in love with her. what they initially had after the reveal couldn' be fixed with communication, especially with left-over feelings of guilt, hurt and shame (both sides). they needed time to settle down and work through what they truly feel about one another, especially in relation to the revealed information. ugh, they're so cute. also, love love love all the female characters, especially isis <3 (and i headcanon that jessie and chloe ended up together)... arthur's annoying af (his tsundere-ess just made me pissed off with him, because of his casual misogyny). it was a pleasant bonus to see the art get better lol, especially in season 4 (adored the new detailed outfits). over-all a very pleasant read! <3333
