I lowkey have memory of a goldfish but the novel was pretty good!
The ML kidnaps the prince of the enemy country to keep as hostage since the rest of royal family is killed, so he gives the kid to his servants and FL ends up taking him bc she’s the only one with childcare experience. First part starts off with the ML being kind of aloof/cold and FL taking care and protecting of the kid, and kid gets so attached that he won’t let anyone else besides the fl hold him. After spending time with fl, ml ends up falling for her and throughout the rest of the novel, he is literally so down bad for, trying to protect her and marry her and what not. Fl uncovers secret to her birth and then it shifts to a more political stance of trying to make peace between the two countries so the prince doesn’t need to be killed.
This is the general gist of the story but I can clarify anything if needed! I might have missed some stuff too
Thanks for the spoilers. I just wanted to know who the hell is the ML i have been getting clickbaited into reading pedo plot, thinking I'm reading a normal plot. I can not stress enough how much I think I'm reading a child-caring story, then get fucking smacked with the pedo plot. ML got raped by FL, and by the looks of things, it happened multiple times. I don't like the rape plot. I don't care how much the author whitewashes it. Rape, regardless of gender, is disgusting. I would rather plot have a consensual sexual relationship than raping.

I like how all the characters think about everything else that can happen between MC and the ML, but don't think that they can date or love each other. These hunters are dense as fuck or blind when it comes to matters of the heart.

or it could just be me? well the street light is basically like an emotional attachment for the MC and ML because that's where they first meet each other. it's also like an anchor because as MC grows, he always goes to the street light, thinking he will see the ML. I'm just explaining why the street light was in the story so much. Did i like the street light? fucking no i would have loved to take a fucking bazooka and blow that fucking light up but i feel like the story will not go anywhere. Also, no weird sexual grooming or graping. I'm happy that everything was legal and consensual. Also i would consider this being "age doesn't matter" because ML and MC only meet 1 time when he was little and never again. They meet up when he was an adult. Also, ML isn't a bad adult; he even tried to dissuade MC from having feeling for him but he failed miserably.
