Wdym he is a loser? Well he looks like one but he is very intelligent when it comes to breaking a flag unlike some mc there who fumbled and become the victims of the bl love

The few times we see Hatano's POV of MC, he does look pretty cool. Like telling him he should keep his hair however he likes when others ask him why he keeps it so long, getting him chocolate cake, paying for Hatano's order at a cafe and just generally being nice to him but in a distant way. Hatano seems so to be a sucker for that cold distance and mature vibes tho lmaoooo.

OTL you are right. i was about to say, although MC is clever, practical, realistic, relatable, and get himself tgt most of the time, he often seem pathetic or cowardly when he tried to dodge something but those are mostly from his brother's pov or his own pov (aka readers pov)! but from hatano's pov he can be quite cool as you said. also somehow in manga high schooler often looked up to college student or just looked at them like everyone is cool or respectable maybe bc they are older and they passed that difficult university test ╮(￣▽￣)╭
