What I'm getting out of this is that teach was stuck in a time loop that'd reset everytime he died

They're basically in a loop, like Sisyphus (pushing a rock up a hill forever, a never ending task) he is doing it all over again in other to change the result, but he ends up repeating it all again (at some point it seems like guwon also gets his memories back), but I think if he just tells guwon to kill the hounds and then change how he rules everything will be ok
