Ok. Let me rant. Not at the story, but at you who can't take criticism towards something you enjoy.
So, the ml sucks, then why is people getting angry at others pointing it out?
The story was entertaining, and good for the ml for getting his undeserved happy ending, but don't get upset bc people knows how to read and have certain moral construction that allows them to judge actions as "unforgivable".
You can just say "yeah, sure. The character sucked balls, but I liked the story/art/smut!". You can enjoy mediocre media, there's no need to defend it to death nor to be upset of others pointing it out!!
Great art. Meh story. Awful love interest. Entertaining as a whole.
Again: THE MEDIA DOESN'T HAVE TO BE GOOD FOR YOU TO ENJOY IT! Just accept it isn't beyond basic standards and enjoy it without the need to defend it. That's what bothers me. Where is your reading capabilities? Your capacity of taking criticism without sobbing about it?
Fuck. Listen, I love Evil Dead, and that shit is BAD. Objectively speaking, it sucks. But I liked it. ME. So who cares? It's fun, it's gory, it's ENTERTAINING. But if someone says "how could you enjoy it? The acting sucks!" Well, yeah. You're right, it does! But I can enjoy it because I have discernment and am capable of enjoy shit just bc it fills something inside and makes me want to come back to it. And it's OKAY for others to be unable to enjoy it bc their criteria of enjoyment has other standards. You can just go "boo, that's too bad" And move on with your goddamn life.
IT'S NOT THAT DEEP. And if you think it's THAT serious and you need to defend media that's meant for consumption and entertainment... Maybe you do need to get some air and place your feet on the grass, man. Chill.
Not everything I enjoy has to be good. And not everything good I have to enjoy.
Learn to consume mediocre media and take the criticism as it deserves.
