I’m mad because I came to this after finishing season 3 and…wtf. I get the ending, but the rest is disappointing.

Actually, the more I think about it, f+ck the ending. If you’re going to do an ending like that, it has to feel inevitable or like there’s no other options. Aqua was smart. He could have easily come up with a way to deal with Kamiki that didn’t require him dying. He could have cut himself then jumped, then swam to shore and his narrative would have still held. Unless self defence isnt a thing in Japan? Also, why would Aqua killing someone in self defence ruin Ruby’s career? They exposed Kamiki, no one would’ve defended him. I don’t know, man, the ending just doesn’t make sense. The only way it would make sense is if Aqua was suicidal, which he obviouly wasnt.
I’m just here for Yu/real!Micaela to destroy the gods or whoever fried the first/his dad for all those years and bring everyone back, and break the curse. If Yu/Michaela doesn’t achieve his goal in the end, I’m gonna rage.
I loved this story so much. As an aroace person who has struggled with depression myself, this was the first time I related to a protagonist with my very being. I also didn’t mind the ending, though I wish we had gotten at least one chapter that focussed on the trio after everything. But it was at least implied they all get a happy ending, so I’m ok with that.
I loved this story <3 I really wish there were more mature stories like this and relationships that are more realistic and dynamic. The ending was bittersweet, but I’m glad it all played out like it did. Now, I’m on the hunt for other mature BL stories that aren’t bland. They seem hard to find.

I get the author thinks people read these types of stories for just the sex, but some of us actually like plot. Can we get more chapters of plot than sex, please? Especially after everything, the gratuitous rape-sex is just blah. Not hating on the author or anything, just my opinion on the story.
