In short, they all decided to stay, won the war and changed history for the better using their knowledge and expertise. Eri accidentally got sent back at the last battle. She saw that the world has completely changed due to the change in history caused by the group. She eventually recovered and became the #1 history professor in Japan and eventually found the cellphones of everyone that stayed in the past which recorded their messages for Eri, cheering her on and wishing that the world has become a better place. Eri confirmed that the world has indeed become better and realized her role as a history recorder and was very happy that they won.
I feel sorry for Otsuu-san and Eri-chan.Otsuu-sans love for Miyamoto-san and Eri-chans love for Shiro-sama as well will forever remain an unrequited Love!
I was shocked when the there are some scenes that her friend who once loved her was doing it with a man who looks like her. Is she just the only one without a love life partner, seems like they get taken away as much as possible.
