Yeah this isn't yaoi, but if you read the mangaka's other stories, IMO they're all implied shonen ai. Tho her works are more of shonen and not focused on romance anyway so it also works for those who don't like BL. As for me I'm a fujoshi so it doesn't matter, everything is slashable haha.
