everything you want suddenly bam and she takes over the family business even through she was so set on volleyball and even said once that she wants to go to nationals why must a girl forbid her passion for her stupid family they even started supporting her while watching the match so why can't they start thinking about passing business to someone passionate and not related to them?!
if u are looking for another sports female volleyball manga that is shoujo/a bit of romance that does mix well + seinen i recommend "girl fight" its got a beautiful and unique artstyle with good story & characters <3
Not since Princess Nine have I been disappointed by an ending so bad. Crimson Hero confirms for me that shoujo and sports don't mix well. The sports side of the story seems not to be taken seriously. The MC is inevitably going to be obsessed with some guy and her relationship with him is all that's going to matter. The sports side and all that that entails - drive, passion, focus, your team, honing your skills, being your best - will eventually come down to being just drivel because the guy is the real goal and trophy.
I was rewatching Haikyuu yesterday and suddenly I remembered this manga. This was the first sport manga I ever read. I used to read it on ONEMANGA when it first came out. I would wait every week or month for the manga to get updated. I'm going to reread all of this until haikyuu season 4 comes out.
True. I mean, she left home, faught with her mother, painstakingly gathered the members and spent all her might improving then this guy reciprocates her feelings, and to what? she couldn't play after his accident supposedly because she is not as strong as she looks... I mean she did all that for the game she loved. All strength and passion went down the drain. Yep. Truly a joke.
Btw, just to specify, girls are not weak, whiny, sopping piece of shit. There are girls who are true to their passions and don't go ballistic because they fell in love.
Oh well, its all my opinion. There are people who loved this manga. And as sad as it may be I did read the whole thing and regretted a whole lot after it.

Aside from story line, ending is awful. She gets with the guy but the ending made it seem like her passion is a joke
