Are we really not going to get a translator for the rest? I'm already on my last 3 chapters of the ones on this site. The final book vol 12 manga is a lot gayer (with realistic filler) than the novel too so I've asked my friend to get it for me for my bday next week. I found vol 12 on a diff site but the gayest 2 filler pages are so blurry I can barely make out the words. ╥﹏╥ I've been OBSESSED with Steve in the novels for the past 16 years!!! He's so fuckin hot, holy HELL
On vol 6 & still can't get over race-swapped beautiful black Debbie. I was hella excited to read this adaptation and see a strong independent BLACK woman by Darren's side just to find a white skinned girl with straight black hair. Completely unrecognizable. Even the author of the original novels say he didn't know why she was race swapped here. Just.. why?!
As someone who's read all 12 of the novels & am halfway thru the Larten Crepsley spin-off, my fave characters in order are: 1. Steve 2. Darren 3. Larten 4. Sam 5. Wester (from Larten's books--Larten's gay thang (づ￣ ³￣)づ He obviously died since he's not in the present books/manga 3; *tears out own heart* *cries uncontrollably*) 6. Kurda 7. Gavner 8. Vancha
Evra and Darren look the same age here but in the books/novels, Evra was actually two years older. Evra was 14 when Darren was 12. That's a big difference in kids that young.
Plus Debbie was black. Dky she doesn't have frizzy black girl hair? I was massively disappointed to see how she looked like. If they ever adapt this into an anime, i hope they fix that. If so, this manga would be an almost perfect adaptation of the books.

The boss of the sad deaths hasn't been covered on this site. PLEASE, just go to ur local library and request the mangas on the library website. All library sites have that. Or if you can't find it, go to a librarian and ask how to request titles. That death fucked me all the way up. I was legit sobbing loudly like a maniac for about 2 hours, my spleen was killing me, and couldn't talk at all on my daily 30 min walk with my husband as I was so numb with pain. I couldn't see how I was going to get over it, even tho that was a reread (I first read the novels 16 years ago). I was rereading again bc I made my husband read the novels so i liked to read ahead of him so that we can discuss.
So the upload here is up to chapter 77 which is only about 1/3 of the way through Vol 9 of the series "Killers of the Dawn".
There are 12 volumes in total for this storyline #10 is "Lake of Souls, #11 is "Lord of the Shadows" and #12 is "Sons of Destiny" and Amazon seems to have the digital manga versions for them for USD$6.99 each.
The only English novel of Vampire theme I had read at my sch library but never reach final vol because the book was scattered somewhere..but I know it's good tho so gonna read this one day(◍•ᴗ•◍)
So the last three books 10-12 are almost impossible to get your hands on. Amazon will price any of the manga between $60 and $950. It has been finished but the last three books were just poorly circulated. Books-a-Million have the first 9 books available for around $20 for every three (they are in omnibuses which are three books in one) and the 10th stand alone. If you want the last two, you have to really dig for them. The original book series sells all 12 for around $40 used if you want to read them the old fashioned way (which I would recommend.)
Minor spoilers ahead but nothing that ruins the story
The author was originally planning on around 24-28 books, rather than 12 however he had trouble since it was marketed as a young adult series and the story was only going to get darker and Darren couldn't stay a kid forever. So he reworked book 11 to wrap things up in book 12 more neatly (book 11 was originally going to be called the cannibal king). He wanted to spend more time focusing on the distorted future world. He has said there is a slim chance he may continue the series in the future, which is why he wont give us any details on the original plan for the 11th book. It is very unlikely that he will come back to the series however since he is beginning to move away from young adult and fantasy-esque stories to begin with.
