When you can draw a line between real and dream you don't get scared of horror stuff. Especially mangas never really scare or disturb me. Since there's no noise behinde it that would make an ambiance.
I watched the anime before the manga and honestly the manga is better than the anime. Anime was shitty, the Kaori girl was on that beach with her two friends instead of her bf and she wasn't that sensitive to smell. Also, her friends were both fake af and her two friends hated each other. And in the anime, Kaori is the immune one (I think) and her bf don't really meet. The bfs uncle uses the bf in the machine after he gets infected, instead of Kaori. And the part where Kaori sees the mirror and hates how she looks? In the anime, that scene is actually shown with one of her friend, who thinks she's super pretty and keeps trying to hook up with these two guys she met on the beach. Honestly, I don't even understand why they changed the story so much. Like, I was wondering how tf ito junji wrote a story so bad. Like, what was the point of showing the friends as hating each other in the anime anyway? They don't even exist in the manga. And the friend who thinks she's pretty is shown kind of nude and stuff trying to hook up with those guys too. It was so irrelevant and stupid.
I mean, Kaori is kind of unlikeable in the manga comparison to the anime one. Bc honestly, she doesn't complain and shout about everything in the anime. But except for that, everything in the anime was shit comparatively.
Also, I don't remember well but the bf wasn't even shown in the anime most of the time. The bf is in Tokyo and kaori is in beach with her friends and she keeps trying to communicate with her bf but they don't meet. And when they do, it's actually in the circus place thing. Everything done by the bf in the manga is done by Kaori in the anime(Like trying to help people stuck in the legs thingy and other stuff)
damn, get yourself a boyfriend so devoted he'd love u even after hysterics and u turning into an infected spider thingy This takes 'would u love me even as a worm' to another level
naur at first i tot tadashi was nothing but a shallow red flag but who wouldve tot tht he'd turned out to be so devoted to his gf despite her hysterical behaviour
after watching the animated movie i went straight to the manga and wow the movie was totally different from the manga. I think the manga was more understandable than the movie tho but i like the couples attitude more in the movie ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭.

I didn't feel anything reading the whole story (=・ω・=)
Idk, it's just meh.
I hated Kaori, though.
But I like the last extra story!
