this is a masterpiece. thematically i liked the ending. but i feel some character arcs were dropped and the ending incomplete. but i loved reading this so much. go hikaru go!
First of all, I have never touched a game of Go or even seen a game of it. It was fun getting to learn about the game through this manga. It was very enjoyable overall.
Now, the problems I have, are the way Sai passed on and the ending. Personally, after Sai was gone the story felt incomplete, there was just something in the way he disappeared that didn't feel right. The ending...really disappointed with it really, that last part/arc(?) felt really rushed, like he suddenly hears of a guy who "disrespected" shuusaku and suddenly makes it his goal to defeat him and loses in the end. It was just written poorly, like I like where it was going but then somewhere somehow, the plot just ended up taking a different turn, probably since Sai's disappearance.
i highly recommend checking it out if you're a fan of this manga. free on yt with full subtitles and is posted on the official iQiyi account. it adapts the three main characters pretty well, though some of the characters have changed. the story goes into different directions as well, and from what i remember the ending is different too. i guess i also recommend it if you felt disappointed by the manga's ending. also, i recommend it if you like akira's "pining" for touya's (or sai's, actually) go in the earlier arcs. qi hun definitely makes it more extreme to the point i'm just staring at yu liang (akira's counterpart) in shock.

I kinda feel dissatisfied on how Sai passed on and the closure between Hikaru and Sai but still it's a good story definitely will re-read
