So I’m only on chapter 19 rn and I can see how ppl find the FL stupid. She’s very desperate when it comes to her crush and will drop anything for q-ta. She truly doesn’t listen at all. Her original goal was to be better than her mother as an actress but got completely side-tracked with this romance. What really bothered me was how she hears how the ppl who worked with her and took care of her, is excited about celebrating her accomplishment and planned a dinner party and was waiting for her to come home- only for her to ditch it and go with lover boy.
Oh and another note: I’m surprised but it looks like I’m the only one rooting for haruka to be the ML. I feel like there’s too many issues with qta and the manager. Qta originally wanted to be with her to be the son-in-law of her father and he does disregard her path to being an actress over his little romance with her. The manager is too old for her and it feels off with her thinking he’s her benefactor, the scales in power feels wrong. Haruka is the one I feel suits the role as ML best, both because of character development and relationship development where FL and him don’t immediately see each other as love interests. And she is the most normal when she’s around him compared to being on her toes around qta and the manager
Chapter 23: Her mom really is a nasty human being. If it wasn’t enough that the first chapter showed it, she just reveals more revolting stuff. They had it on point though, making her like the evil queen from Snow White. She’s jealous of her own daughter since she was a kid both due to looks and attention. She feels the need to take everything from her, so it’s not surprising that she wanted to take away the tutor whom the mom assumed FL had a crush on. and the way she had to degrade her young kid to feel better about herself is insane.
Chapter 30: yep she completely went off the rails of her original goal and chose her love life over her career. Dropped everything to go chase after her man in New York. Funny thing is, he would drop her for an opportunity to work with her dad. The FL made a man her priority and the same can’t be said for him. He doesn’t care for her career either. I fully agree and understand the comments calling her stupid. Her heads stuck in the clouds and I’m honestly looking forward to it all crashing down and slapping her in the face with reality. Everyone around her is sugar coating it but if it were me as the manager, I’d call her the biggest disappointment of my career lmao.
Alright so I checked and it looks like this manga has been on hiatus since 2009. It looks like the mangaka doesn’t want to continue this story seeing as they’re more focused on working on a different manga if theirs.
Good news for me though is that they more recently (2024) made a spin off of this manga called, “Ore wa aidoru wo yametai.” Which features a different FL and haruka. Which sounds like haruka definitely is not the ML, but I’m not upset over it since FL here is too dumb anyways lol. The only thing is they cut haruka’s hair, which is a shame cause I liked the style of it being long :(

This is the type of thing that has me slowing down on reading or buying new manga. The mangakas could drop their story at anytime and I would’ve wasted my time and money on an incomplete manga.
I usually don't talk shit about character or manga, but this is next level shit, the story is actually interesting but she is just way to stupid I know that if this starts serializing she will probably end up with Haruka( I think that the chance for her to be with manager are lower than Haruka because he is much older and I think that he will not let his emotion overtake him - even tho I think I like him the best and I think that he is be the best for her, and than I'm not fully shure because he is connected to her mom and dad, and maybe he will somehow betray her) and yes Haruka will end up with her because that boy started liking her for who she is from the start so yeah, but till that happens out hair will be gray and if someone is interested in reading I do not recommend and I give it a 2/5 starts and if you want my recommendation Skip Beat has a similar vibe to this one and that manga is easy 5/5 the only thing that you may not like is that it's really long but believe me it's worth the time you spend reading it
I like this manga. I don't know why. The characters are despicable but the drama that comes with their horrible behavior is still intriguing. Maybe I just want to see some form of comeuppance develop, or maybe I just want to see how much more selfish and asshole-ish these characters can be. (〜￣△￣)〜
Wow..I don't do this often, as I dislike leaving things unfinished, but this thing is just getting worse and worse. The whole thing is a mess. I genuinely dislike all characters, and what makes it harder to like - is the main character whom I despise. I didn't think there would be a main character I'd dislike more than villains, but there she is. There are no words describing her stupidity, and to be honest the only thing I want her to end up with, is just that one brain cell she's got (and I'm not even sure this one cell is not on the verge of dying out either). Well, all in all I've already spent too much time on this...thing. So that's that. Dropped. Congratulations to me for saving any future second I would have spend on reading this.

i stop reading this manga really it was on my nerve the girl always whining about people being bad well i know the mother and fathers role in this manga was worst .but the others support her but all she is just stupid inept antisocial person and the others with connections rise her but all she was doing just whine i really had enough with her shitty personality in this manga （￣へ￣）
Assuming. The Author went on hiatus back in 09 and haven't dropped a single thing about this since so just taking it as in this manga is dead and wont finish. So cliff hanger?? I liked it genuinely but I guess we won't ever know who she ends up or if she becomes the famous actress liked she worked towards. Sucks
My personal opion would be for her to get with haruka, he seems to be not to strict like manager and not to cheese cut and fake like Q.ta. He just one of the only few things I enjoyed about this manga. Had the blush he had and timing was gorgeous. Love the manager though he was also a joy to read.
it's very typhical you know...her dad use bf to get her daughter back...and the bf use her to get close to her dad...she definitely stupid..i'm shipping 4 the manager, i think he is the most honest man she would end up with...i hope so
