I would rather Hatsumi's end up with even Azusa or Shinobu than that Tachibana. To be honest, they're all victims of their families and the father of Tachibana dude is the root of problem. Didn't have to gut to marry his love of life, but still have an affair while marrying with kid. After everything broke out, didn't come for Azusa's mother. Still neglect of his kid and wife for so many years.
All this time. I believed in her, trusted that she would stand up for herself, leave them all, get some character development. And all the "male leads" would reflect on their terrible behavior and change. But noooooooo. like I don't wanna blame the mc too much cause abuse victims often are conditioned to become the way they are, but at this point, it's almost as if the manga is saying abusive relationships are something "cute" to have. Those men deserve nothing but poo.
Just found out today that this has a Netflix movie... My initial reaction was, "Why that? " Don't get me wrong, I've read this manga 3x and I actually like it for some reason but a live-action version of these characters doesn't sound good
Ok on another note, I actually did like the movie based off this manga on Netflix. The scenes were quite aesthetic and nice. In the end she realized she didn’t need validation from no one and that she is her own person. However, some lines were kind of wonky and tachibana can be quite the asshole, but as I read in the comments, he wasn’t too harsh or creepy in the live action. Also, in the movie, I felt so bad for shinogu ..... he’s emotions portrayed were quite raw and showed how lonely he would be, the only thing he really cared about was her. Anyways yeah it was an okay movie and came here to read the ending just to see the difference (=・ω・=)
Idk I think it would be cool if she didn’t choose anyone and started focusing on herself. Grow as a person and find her self without a mans help but oh well. She loves him so what can I say. I really liked shinogu though
okay so I watched the movie on Netflix I think it's about this story (same name) BREF the story was sooo bad well The characters so bad and soulless I never saw in my whole life Acting on flop and I didn't find any logic i hate stupid shojo girl always be like "no I'm not but pretty but I sure have my harem HOWBOUT DAT" BUT I heard the manga is actually good? Should I read it? Is it good? I lost 2 hours of my life with the movie does the manga deserve our time?
By the way you describe the movie, I won't recommend you to read the manga.
On initial reading you will hate everyone in this manga. The 1st time I read it was when I'm a teenager myself and absolutely hated all of them. I finished reading it though. I read it for the 2nd time when I was in college. By that time, what I felt was pity for them. When I read it for the 3rd time during my late 20s, I just realized that they were just kids. I'll probably read it sometime in the future for the 4th time just for nostalgia but I don't think it will be wise for new readers to get into the hot mess that is Hot Gimmick
