and i don't know what kind of like he's longing but it's probably love. he longs for a lover but thats normal, everyone does!
but because he couldn't get one he's victimizing himself as "no one likes me" "im all alone" well maybe start opening up with the people around you no?
and one of her acquaintance in the 2nd chapter said hes too nice with everyone so she wouldn't go out with him. this might actually implies why Sudo's former relationship fails, he just treat everyone equally even to his lover.
It's a shame this author appears to be relatively underrated on here. They produce lots of bittersweet works that rely more on the emotional development of the characters.
