So ultimately the premise of the story is “what is a dream? And what is reality?” Are these real people? Or actors on a stage?
If you are confused about the sisters. Kasumi couldn’t stand the idea of living without Shizuku, so first she tried to commit suicide in the bathroom, and then she tried to die with her sister on the cliff. However, Shizuku didn’t want to die, and in the struggle, accidentally pushed Kazumi over the edge; killing her. Shizuku went into shock and activated her Medusa powers, which Zeus took advantage of to create his “game/paradise” and in the process, Shizuku created a Medusa version of Kasumi, who had no memories of dying.
If you’re confused about Zeus and Marco… I admit the story didn’t cover that very well… from what I understood, they were hacking partners/rivals (Zeus being the better hacker), and one day he turns on Marco; and makes Marco take the fall for their crimes. Marco then made it his personal mission to one day beat Zeus.

oh my god thank you so much for the explanation, but i dont remember the story anymore T_T
which sucks because the story is super interesting and original rino
Very true. I wonder if the author was struggling with time constraints and demands from the publisher, which made it difficult to go into deeper details on things. Kind of makes me wish there was a novel version.

ohh, perhaps it got axed? that would make sense if it did! also, a novel version sounds really good, if it goes into depth ><
Ok... Talking about an abrupt ending. To be honest, the whole apocalyptic monster paradise dream thingy was cool. But, I was confused throughout the entire manga. So guys. Am I the only one that didn't get this manga?
Im soooo confuse who is who and idk if that was make sens tho im kinda confuse so u mean kasumi died and shizuku projected a dream world about herself as kasumi?sowwie im so slow at understanding rhings lol
For me, Kasumi Actually died in the real world since she suggest that the two of them will kill themselves... but in the end, Shizuku actually is the one who survive, she scream and some creatures started to grow on her neck.... so that means Shizuku is a medusa... in Shizuku's dream.. Kasumi is still alive yet with fake memories... and that's all.. i'm sorry about my grammar since i don't know how to interract
I liked it but I felt like it was trying to be a horror without being a horror. If you think about it, the whole story was supposed to be a nightmare. I just wish it was better grounded. I liked it, though.

lol that’s okay. Gives you a reason to try and reread it (if you want lol)
haha maybe i will try to re read this one day, then rewatch the movie too
lol never watched the movie. But I hear the outcome is different, so that probably adds to the confusion
yes! i remember the movie had a different ending than the manga, the movie ending was confusing enough too
lol yeah… clarity was not this story’s strength
which sucks because the story is super interesting and original

Yeah, too bad one was never made.
it would be nice if one is made! i would totally buy and read it.
Same
I love it
Why does the manga and anime have 2 different endings?
And for those who don't understand the ending it's like this
The sister she was looking for is herself cause the one with glasses fell off the cliff and died
Didn't read yet but already saw the movie. These two are so different . So confuse but the plot is so good

I would describe it more as a thriller with some horror elements. I remember when I first read this parts of the story really creeped me out lol.
I want a sequel.
(≧∀≦) it had me jumping out of my seat
