So, I watched the drama serial some dozen years ago. Remember it vaguely as something bizzare and leading me to question my life choices.
Found the manga. Read it to ch. 46. A bigger WTF than I remember.
Manga ch. 46: Well, so far is a rappy horndog Gigachad with too much money to spare x a girl who can't off herself to quickly and is desperately clinging to hope that she wasn't get raped everyday.
Note: No idea how she still hasn't killed him that son of a b*tch yet. She has nothing to lose, nobody to protect and still some kick in her, so I would personally bit the throat of the rapist on impulse even if I had to off myself afterwards.
Serial Drama: Oh, my youth. From what I remember it wasn't so bad? Like they focused on the psihological aspects of imprisonment bits more than the rappy bits? There was also the sister and amnesic crush melodrama? It's so vague in my mind. It might also have to do with chinese censorship and screen time, so yeah, the serial drama was not that bad... from what I remember, but I might also beautify it.
Maybe I will drag my BFF to watch it with me for old time sake. Bad asian dramas, fructose jellybeans and potato chips makes for a fine Saturday night.
So...I am lazy. So painfully button that a button away is still too far for my finger to move. So lazy that I will probably never bother to organize my manga list into read or not reading or whatsoever, in this lifetime, probably not in the next one ,or the one afterwards (not that I believe in rencarnation, mind you). And will just randomly stuff things in my lists. End of the story. ME happy!
I'm into complex to flat out retard plots. Hardcore to insupportably romantic couples, mainly yaoi. I like shoujo, action and shounen too. I can even read manga about magical girls saving the world with all the fluffy, girly, lollipops thingy flying about. I also read smut and josei, but I'm more of that guy who just scroll down, hoping to find the plot in what is esentially fluffy porn with glowing vaginas. So pretty much anything goes for me beside threesome or love triangles. So no harem.
Although some love triangles are OK I try to avoid them. Cuz something about that drama is just tiring. And the harem girls are so cliche, like every harem just uses the some trope without really trying to work on deepening the relationship dynamic between the characters. It's just shallow. Than there is the fact that there are girls constantly hanging around, getting jealous and whatever instead of just keeping them in some secluded part of the palace where you can't see the bloodshed. A small part of me, which still tries to place the plot in reality shivers thinking of a guy surrounded by as many as 12 lovers, half of whom are either yandere or that one underage girl wielding swords or throwing around magical molotovs.
Ah. And returning back to yaoi. I can't stand these disgusting, degrading feminine uke protagonists screaming loli and shits rainbows in a valley of everything that's pink and nice. Sure, I read manga with these kind of characters (while facepalming myself and screaming that the seme is the only normal man in the manga universe. I mean, the uke doesn't even need to be beefy, hairy guy. He can be a screwy pretty band boy with long lashes for all I care. BUT at last make him human and not some imp with a flowery/sparkling eyebeam shotting from his eyes. That's terrifying. Just terrifying. Seriously. While I'm at this. I'm a hypocrite, totally aware of that. Because I do read these manga anyway. Because the PLOT is GOOD. YAOI is GOOD...Ah. my heartaches.)
Oh. And I write REALLY long reviews when stressed.
Why is the dialogue bubble from ch. 75 to ch. 80 so weird???
Cuz the group that picked it up uses ai to translate
