So, I watched the drama serial some dozen years ago. Remember it vaguely as something bizzare and leading me to question my life choices.
Found the manga. Read it to ch. 46. A bigger WTF than I remember.
Manga ch. 46: Well, so far is a rappy horndog Gigachad with too much money to spare x a girl who can't off herself to quickly and is desperately clinging to hope that she wasn't get raped everyday.
Note: No idea how she still hasn't killed him that son of a b*tch yet. She has nothing to lose, nobody to protect and still some kick in her, so I would personally bit the throat of the rapist on impulse even if I had to off myself afterwards.
Serial Drama: Oh, my youth. From what I remember it wasn't so bad? Like they focused on the psihological aspects of imprisonment bits more than the rappy bits? There was also the sister and amnesic crush melodrama? It's so vague in my mind. It might also have to do with chinese censorship and screen time, so yeah, the serial drama was not that bad... from what I remember, but I might also beautify it.
Maybe I will drag my BFF to watch it with me for old time sake. Bad asian dramas, fructose jellybeans and potato chips makes for a fine Saturday night.
I mean, I liked in the beginning? The whole reincarnated to oppose the child raising novel protagonist plot was kind of fresh, at least for me.
Because I also find that kind of excessive doting and logic flew so weird. The whole fighting for the divorce plot was so interesting!
The ML is also ok. No complaint there.
But for the later parts... not saying that it wasn’t good and the whole brainwashing witchy thing was bad, but the whole plot delivery was strained and kinda forced.
Like, a full-blown bitch fight with two women countering each other in a competition over star employees. At that point the whole romantic and political plot was sidelined by their bitch fight over info from the previous life, the ML become the MC arm accessory and theor cute development become boring.
And in the middle of that, the MC decided to turn the ML political enemy clearheaded and help the woman who been sending assasins after ML since the beginning of the story. Way to stab the ML in the back.
So yes, after they dismantled Reina's cult and backing, there isn't much to say.
MC, a pretty and valiant woman wading through the murky waters of conspiracy, politics and korean family-drama. Revange for the crown, blood and self esteem. Down with all the kid abusers. Yey! Way to go girl! Bad taste in men, tho.
ML, some foxy vampire idol in a mask living behind the bedroom curtain like an Edward Cullen wannabe. The curse bit is be interesting.
Ahh. Maybe he will turn to stone and be saved by the power of love (Tears of Dawn, wut is that? A [BIG KISS] from the MC will do the job. Guarantee cure for all illness and curses as endorsed by Di*ney since times immemorial.)
ML is still in the ambiguous phrase when he still hasn't realised he has the hots for the MC, but I have a theory that he will turn into a yandere later on (Because this is a KR manga, and all ML in KR manga are yandere. Ah. Defeated by his condition. It's is kinda sad, because I was so into his Daddy Complex x trauma backstory.)
Waiting for more...
My take on it is that it's a story about a novice dad who raises an abused, pretty kid who's too cute for her own good... And how he monetized every aspect of her life.
It's not a very good attempt at encouraging children videos on Y0uTube, although it feels more like background for the whole YouTube thingy. Like taking a child to the park or to the zoo for the sake of getting content then for the kid to have to have fun.
The rest is good, though.

Why is the dialogue bubble from ch. 75 to ch. 80 so weird???
Cuz the group that picked it up uses ai to translate
