This was way ahead of its time. Its sad how we don't get yuri mangas like this anymore

The fact that this story has more depth and connection than most yuri mangas out there, speaks of its quality. I yearn for reality based yuris which tackle real life queer issues with sensitivity and this was such an amazing read. Makes me feel proud of the all the people who despite their adverse times, continued to stay true to themselves. I salute to all the queer people who fought for their rights so that today's generation won't be ostracized like them. Even though, times are still tough for our community yet the struggles the past queer warriors fought shifted history and made us strong enough to fight for our rights as well

Amazing story. Men are not inherently bad, they just grow while being taught that they’re entitled to violence when they don’t get what they want. It’s our failure as a society that led to this. I sincerely hope our future continues to get better and people realise that love cannot be forced. We are born with it, and as we grow, we realise who we direct it towards.

It's old so most people will not give it the time of day...but if they did they would find an incredibly well-written story that doesn't feel dated at all (except for the furniture and hairstyles <3)

I can’t believe this was made in the 1980s in Japan like damn:
“The reason that many men have such a problem with lesbians is that they think we’re encroaching on their territory and using special privileges that should be accorded only to them. They want to have complete possession of women — in terms of both society in general and their own private relationships. They think they should get first priority over women”

THIS QUOTE just so good, of course we’ve come a longgg way since then and not many men are like this anymore but just DAMN I felt that

I have opposing feelings about this one. She wasn’t enslaved by a man in particular. Just many circumstances lead her to that point, to get engaged in the relationship which was bound to be broken. First of all I accuse her weakness. Happy that she mustered up all the courage and went with the way which would bring her happiness.

She was doing housework for a man she didn't want to marry. She even states that she doesn't want to get married and that she's only marrying him for her mother's sake. She's performing her duties as a wife out of obligation and societal pressure. Of course, her husband cannot be blamed for this at all, but for her it must feel like she's a slave - working without pay out of fear that she'll be socially ostracised .

It's a classic. And art is so beautiful that can't believe it was created in 1980s. Another story - Midnight Flowers - is too very good. Recommend.

I dont even know what to say, i didnt have much thought of this but it surprised me. it really shows love for someone never dies, it would be awful. glad i sold myself to work got with a person that, i love but cant love. if i am love it stresses me and i run away, im boring and talk of my dreams and wishes even now half dead and half alive. i felt the words true, the flower that only can bloom at night.beautiful. dont knock this story or over think the drama, men can get rough when angry. i was made so made once i held my hands behind me to stop myself from doing anything, always provoked but couldnt get rid of her. turning into trans woman she helped me unto she got angry she was more butch, as her effort had dwindled, she left but still kept coming back every so often, took her i say five years to hopefully forget, she still wanted me even after she was living with a new guy. it was nice but she was where she deserved to be, happy.

I'm pretty sure the author isn't displaying that men are bad, I know not all men are bad anyways
