It was beautiful story. But I was confused what happen at the end really? What happen to shui's family. How about the kid with the same Mark's as Olga. Is there any countinues? Why God's have to punished others for their own mistakes. I think what God's did were so cruel and so ungodly. I wish it was more of their happy ending. I mean all of them.
If you have read the other books under this author you will see this continue on, but with different names Olga's family are later called the marked ones and shui's family are called the man-beasts. The two kids at the three kids at the end of this explain the start of everything. The two kids were attracted to the third by a smell from the child that calmed them. The kid with the marks is the master who cal control the man-beast. If you think of this one as the prequel for the other two wild rose and wild fang. it all comes together.

Okay so my interpretation is that Olg isn't gonna die or age. Correct me if i am wrong but didn't the God say that 'he won't take Olg's life but make him bear the sins of the beast instead, and the mark will always be there on his body as reminder'. Plus during the last chapter, the narrative says that 'there was a wise man in the forest with a beast who's always beside him but its a tale from a long time ago'. This means that Olg has lived long enough by now and isn't dead yet.
And in the last chapter's last panel, you can see Olg calling out to the kids. He still looks young and healthy as before. So basically, he's still immortal but without the extraordinary powers like he had before. He can't protect himself or fight like before which makes him equivalent to a mere mortal.
I mean this is just my interpretation. Icould be wrong and all but i'd like to believe that i am not, cause i don't want Olg to die I want him and Shui to live happily forever.
I love your interpetation sooo much !!But still... I don't want to say that but in that last panel, he was the man in the front, right? That means that le looks much older ;(;(;(;( MoKa
Nooooooo......i refuse to listen to your reasoning. I am not gonna listen to anyone, even though i know i am wrong (T_T) *cries in a corner*
