rare to find a good medium length shounen-ai like this. tons of misunderstanding angst at the end, but it was not very angsty cuz this author always keeps it light. they are middle school friends i think, and they're now 23? at least it said at one point uke is 23. they honestly seem way older though....... so idk, but basically seme has always liked uke, for 10 years he keeps saying. they have a reunion and seme learns that uke slept with a man who begged him and cried to do it just once. seme is shocked and kinda mad and upset like wtf, honestly me too lol. soon after, seme gets a job transfer back to their hometown and start to see the uke a lot more often. first volume is just showing them casually meeting and stuff, normal friend things, but seme likes uke a lot. second volume, seme has confessed his feelings and uke is thinking about what he wants. and in the end he realizes he's liked seme a long time, though it was never recognized as romantic love. and he confesses back and they get together and do it. third volume is a bunch of misunderstanding. like uke is not super into doing the deed but likes seme a lot. seme is a little hurt and asks if uke just had sex out of pity like with the first guy. uke is hurt seme would say that when uke literally just said he loved seme, so uke walks out. after that seme sees uke acting friendly with the guy he slept with before and seme is mad. but then he goes home and reflects that he shouldn't have expected so much from uke and forced him into a relationship. seme is resolved to go back to acting like a best friend. but uke is assertive about getting seme to talk things out even though seme keeps avoiding him. finally uke shows up at seme's house and drags him out to talk. seme is like it's over, and uke is like no you idiot, i fucking love you and kisses him. very cute, they have sex and that's basically it.

omg this was so good!! i loved it so much, especially that sweet pain of misunderstanding angst here. tagged slow relationship though it's not entirely accurate. uke searching for love on an app after getting dumped. he is drunk and puts his fav manga as his pic and put female as his gender. he matches with seme who's the manga's author and is gay but matching with women to get info for his manga. when they meet, uke is disappointed and about to go home, but seme reveals he's the manga's artist and uke gets super interested in him. they spend they day and drink and then seme takes him to a hotel cuz uke threw up. they kiss and seme is going in, but uke cries and seme respects him lol. this whole story has super respectful sex. it's so out of the ordinary for this to happen that it felt really weird lmao. then they keep meeting cuz seme knows uke wants to hear and see more about the manga creation and stuff. but seme is super burnt out and the manga goes on hiatus. uke helps him to recuperate and they get closer. uke eventually realizes he's fallen for seme and wants to be with him, not just cuz seme's his fav author. they keep having non penetrative sex and uke gets into it as well. but they never really confirmed their relationship cuz seme was thinking uke might not like him cuz uke was originally straight. and uke then sees a draft of seme's new work, which is based on their relationship. uke starts thinking seme is just using him for material like what he was trying to do with girls before. and uke gets so fucking sad, but he keeps going with the relationship cuz he genuinely likes seme now and wants to stay with him even if it's just to be useful for seme's work. then one night seme invites him to a fancy restaurant for dinner. seme presents uke his new bl manga and is super happy to show uke. uke starts crying and thinks this might mean seme doesn't need him anymore. but seme hugs him and is like no way, who said that. all the misunderstanding is unravelled and they hug and kiss and make up. seme formally asks uke to be his lover and uke accepts with a kiss. then i love this author for this, we get a whole chapter showing them together and how that's like instead of just an extra. they have penetrative sex for the first time and seme reveals it's his first time doing it, and ofc uke too. super sweet. this story was low on the smut, but super lovely!!!!!!!!!!

this was cute but as often happens with misunderstanding angst, the reasoning is a bit convoluted and drags a bit long. they were friends in high school and both now 25. back in high school they liked each other but neither wanted to admit it and uke felt terrible for liking seme he drew away. seme thought uke hated him after they kissed, so seme didn't approach uke anymore. their kiss was cuz uke said he wanted to try kissing out lol who even does that...........ofc if seme agreed he likes uke. anyway now they live in a share house with 2 other guys who are a couple. this time uke sees the other guys having sex and seme catches him and takes him back to seme's room. then seme jerks him off and uke passes out and seme brings him back to own room. after that another misunderstanding lol. seme is busy with work so they don't see each other a bit. seme really wants to confess to uke though. but uke starts thinking seme is straight and doesn't want to corrupt him? and seme keeps not coming back home so maybe seme hates him? honestly i even got confused what their intentions were, but basically again misunderstanding each other. well they do end up solving it in the end, they are cute together.

not complete, there's a second volume...... uke is kinda a robotic and naive guy. he really likes the cafe owner and just innocently wants to be babied by the owner, held to owners chest kind of thing. he gets a love potion after helping an elderly lady and gives it to seme. but split second later he regrets his decision but seme already drank it. seme is kinda grossed out having to drink this but he's kinda liked uke for a while so having a twisted personality, he decides to pretend he needs uke to relieve his sexual urges now. he's always wanted to be a better person so acted sweet in front of uke but he's not actually. so from then on he keeps calling uke out saying his sexual urges are acting up and he can't relieve himself on his own. uke starts falling for seme but still keeps trying to find ways to get rid of the potion's effects. that leads to them going on some cute dates. things are going better and better between them but uke can't stop his guilt. he doesn't want to trick seme anyway and pushes seme away. seme is hurt and not understanding uke's thought process. uke finally goes to visit seme's cafe again and turns out seme almost sold the place to return to his life of debauchery abroad. but they reconcile and seme confesses he was just playing along with uke and not actually under the effects of a love potion. uke finds the old lady who gave him the potion and she confirms it was just one of those japanese stamina drinks. last bit is just sex and seme saying he wants to move in together.

holy crap. THIS IS A FUCKING MASTERPIECE. SUCH A TOXIC RELATIONSHIP THAT STAYS VIOLENT AND TOXIC BUT IN A MORE LOVING WAY LMAO. WOULD ACTUALLY LOVE TO READ THE NOVEL FOR THIS. so messed up, where do i even begin. uke falls in love first sight with seme in a movie and doesn't understand this weird feelings he's feelings, so he sets out to destroy seme. uke is ceo from rich family so he pulls strings. five years later they meet again, this time seme wants to be a director and he wrote an amazing script. uke has been unable to feel since that time. he makes seme suck him off since that's what they do in entertainment to get favours, and actually cums for the first time in a long time after seme fingers him. then uke active seeks seme out to have sex for real, though he blames seme for starting it. then a bunch of shit happens. seme finds out it was uke who framed him. then uke lets seme's movie bomb under the major stakeholder's direction. then he sees seme crying in his sleep, so decides to save the movie by providing funds to reshoot. seme knows at this point that uke is in love with him too. but uke keeps doubting seme's feelings for him cuz he's done so much bad stuff to seme. uke thinks seme might be out for revenge. he also gets mad at seme's accidental casting of a dude who tried to blow him in exchange for acting roles before. so they kinda fall apart again after just sexing again lol. movie finally comes out and the actor uke hated dies in an accident...............which brings a lot of press for seme's movie lol....... finally after all that uke still unwilling to confess. but seme finds him watching his movie in an empty theatre. he forces uke to confess and uke kinda does say he has feelings. story ends there but we see in extras they are living together and seme working on new movie. we get flashbacks to his perspective of everything that went on in the main story. then he sees uke meeting the girl that his uncle tried to set him up with and seme fucking loses his mind.......... gets so insecure and pretty much rapes uke...........fucking out of left field after a very consenting relationship and story so far......... but it's forgiven and honestly they are both messed up cuz uke then slaps him lol. both confess again and end.
