red string of fate story. partners tied by the red string have to be touching to get peaceful sleep. but if they actually love each other, this side effect will go away. small age gap 7 years. older seme 29. uke 22. seme is ceo of a startup he created. uke is studying compsci in uni. overall i liked the manipulative seme. uke was a little too meek for me, but seme carried the story. he scheming to get uke into his arms working and uke trusting him was just so devilishly good lol. uke likes his childhood friend. but then he finds out his fated ring is tied to his friend's big brother, seme. at first he doesn't tell seme, but when seme finds out, he demands they sleep together so they can both feel better. and turns out seme has liked uke for 3+ years, ever since uke was in high school and seme tutored him and his bro to get into uni. but seme saw uke kissing his bro in his sleep, so seme knew uke liked his bro and decided to give up on uke. but now knowing uke is his fated partner, he schemes all sorts of things to get close to uke. uke tries to get the ring off at first cuz he doesn't like seme and he thinks it must be a great inconvenience to seme to have the ring link to him. he contacts a dude who can manipulate these things, disconnecting and connecting them from ppl, but he doesn't go through with it cuz it means he would lose all memories of seme. then some drama starts where seme's bro starts liking uke..... or he's just jealous seme is getting close to uke so he confesses to uke too..... idk but it's a whole drama and kinda gross they are letting uke come between their brotherly relationship. uke at this point likes seme more than the bro, so does not accept the confession. he goes to think about it and keeps the bro waiting. in the end seme comes clean to uke about all his scheming so uke can know his true self and make a decision if he likes seme for real. uke is shocked and leaves for a couple days, but can't sleep well without seme. and seme is worried about uke, so helps uke sleep while staying awake himself. uke ofc finds out cuz he suddenly slept well and calls seme to get him to come back. seme ofc is a happy simp for uke and they reconcile. uke admits he loves seme, even all the crazy possessive sides of seme. typical manhwa uke.... and they are happily together!! apparently sex to come in the extras...

quite a compelling story. near masterpiece, but a bit too stereotypical of a story. nothing unexpected, but everything was done superbly. uke is 13th prince in his country and an omega, so they all hate him. he gets sold off to marry the king of a distant land. uke is like w/e i'll do my duty as a queen, but nothing more. well turns out the king is still a 10 year old child. unknown how old uke is. they start meeting everyday after marriage and get along well. after a while seme asks uke to promise to be his in the future, and uke actually agrees despite not wanting it when he came here. seme then sets off on a tour of his land cuz it's a requirement for a king after ascending the throne. then his brother comes in and says seme's dead. and he confesses to uke that he ordered seme to be killed by arrow. uke doesn't want to become the brother's omega, so he runs off and jumps off a cliff. he survives and is taken care of by seme's other older brother who renounced the throne to live as a peasant with his wife. 8 years later they've set up a good operation there without detection by the brother. uke learned engineering in his country and taught the village people how to make tools to take care of themselves and sell to others. one night after hearing about the brother's attack on a nearby village, he goes to check it out and meets seme again. seme saves him from some of the king's men lingering around. a sudden reunion and seme takes uke back to his village. turns out seme is leading the rebels who want to overthrow the king. they plot and get contacted by this friend of the brother to overthrow the brother together. in return they have to help the friend take over his own country as king. they accept and get allowed into the palace with the friend, have an audience with the brother who's currently king. seme steps in just as the brother is about to kill uke. they send the brother away instead of killing him. ugh as typical in japanese manga.... but then it's implied the brother got killed by the coachmen who were driving him out of the city cuz the hated him for killing their sons. and finally after all that uke and seme have sex and mate with a bite. then we don't really see anything of them afterwards, which is kinda disappointing..... we just see some village people remarking positively about their reign so it sounds like it's hundreds of years later....... :((

two hot guys in love with each other for poorly thought out reasons lol. interesting concept overall, execution questionable. just not sure i'm into the art and their personalities. none of the characters strike me as lovable. just not my type. update upon reading again: seme and uke are going to same uni and both kinda well known for being hot. uke's liked seme since seeing him once in high school and decided to go to same uni as seme. seme's like uke since they were kids lol. uke acts really shy around seme though he wants seme to like him. when they do be alone for the first time, uke kisses seme out of the blue and runs off. after that seme goes after him and starts kinda touching him sexually. but seme doesn't make it clear he likes uke. he just keeps acting kinda mean and teasing uke. uke decides to confess for real and seme reveals he's liked uke since childhood and uke vaguely remembers. we get a cute future progression last chap showing them after uni. uke went on to be a model and seme a salaryman and they're still super cute together.

really cute, but sooo rushed. each chapter is like spanning a year?? so we only get one snapshot of them in a year and next chap a whole fucking year passed and some new shit suddenly happens out of nowhere...... uke likes seme since seme helped him from some bullies. he tries for the same high school as seme. they meet on exam day and talk a little and uke says his goal in high school is to confess to his crush and seme is like cool, i wanna be popular and get girls too. hope u succeed. they get into the same school and then seme starts suspecting uke is the guy he met during the entrance exam despite both looking super hot and different now. uke confirms it's him and that yes seme is the guy uke was talking about confessing to and he straight up says he likes seme. seme is cool with it and asks to go out and ofc uke accepts. then they are dating and everything's sweet. seme wants to move to next step after kissing but uke is kinda shy. they kinda almost progress to more, but seme decides to hold back and backs off. uke interprets it wrong like seme thinks it's gross with a guy. he asks seme what seme likes about him and seme is stunned into silence. also for some reason seme thinks uke only likes him cuz he used to play baseball and doesn't like his current self...... so dumb this misunderstanding and nobody saying fucking nothing to each other....... so then they fucking break up after dating 1 year, though we only saw that little bit of them kissing and almost doing it........... then apparently they spend 3rd year still friends but nobody fucking saying anything about the breakup??????? wtf. then they graduate and on graduation day seme takes uke's tie. uke obviously still feels some type of way about seme too, but nobody fucking saying shit. then in uni they fucking meet again and seme gives back uke's tie. then seme confesses and says he still likes uke. uke is relieved and asks to go out. a cute reversal of their confession before. and then we see them going to uke's house and fucking immediately. bruh the pacing of this story is all over the place........................ we really needed it to slow the fuck down so we could get more connected with the characters and their feelings and rationales for their actions.

seme just looks like a delinquent type but not actually. they are both in high school but we don't see them there, only after school. uke always playing with kids from his apartment complex. one day seme shows up asking to hang out too and yeah it's fine cuz public space. seme wants to be better with kids cuz he's gonna have a younger step-bro soon. they get closer through interacting with kids. seme very forward with his feelings after advice from a young girl lol. it's refreshing reading manga where they know how to communicate after reading so many frustrating internal turmoil manhwa shit. anyway, they get together cuz uke realizes he likes seme too. spend a month or so kissing and then they do it. cute and down to earth story.

i like the low-key slice of life feel of this author's comic's but there are some parts not well translated. she makes some deep cuts to japanese culture that i feel like eluded even the translator so it doesn't really make sense in english... basically both are pharma reps from rival companies. one winter day, uke saves seme from a snowstorm after seme's car has stalled. then both get transferred to tokyo to work. seme starts inviting uke out to eat under the guise of researching good spots to recommend others during their jobs. idk why this manga makes it seem like pharma reps basically act like doctors' butlers in order to make their sales..... it's super weird if that's the case in japan...... then one night after eating and drinking, uke is kinda drunk and seme kisses him. uke doesn't hate it and they naturally get together next time they meet. then they have sex, both being very good about communicating their wants. nothing toxic here at all. then their two companies merge together and ppl at uke's company aren't happy. he asks for lots of advice from seme and in the end i guess he makes the merger smoother by making the ppl at his company see the other side better? the whole time there's this discrimination against seme's company just cuz it's foreign owned.... i mean everything this author writes really feels like she's fucking 50.....

spinoff of the older brother series. read as 3rd instalment. uke recently realizes his gay cuz he's crushing on this transfer student in his class. they're spending some time together and seme randomly says he really likes uke, which uke takes to mean romantically. uke thinks they're dating now but after weeks there's no progress on anything. so he tries to take matters into own hands by kissing seme first. but turns out seme didn't even know they were going out. uke runs off in embarrassment. then at school seme calls him out to talk. uke insists they forget about it and seme's like ok. but seme actually finds uke kinda cute and is open to dating him. he says as much after uke can't hide how he still likes seme and overreacts to every little thing that seme does. uke is happy and they start dating for real. but now uke is not happy they're not having sex yet. honestly this uke is a fucking annoying dumbass. really realistic to how teenagers behave i suppose...... he gets pissed at seme and pissed at his brother and everyone. seme was just trying to treasure him but uke is so impatient about it. finally they have sex and story's over.

seme is mild yandere. 5 yr age gap. older uke. they met when seme was just starting junior high and uke was second year in high school. uke reaches out to seme who looked like he was being bullied. after that they start hanging out after school on the side of the road where they both walk past. uke starts feeling attracted to seme, but knows it's wrong cuz seme's 5 yrs younger. so he uses uni exams as an excuse and never meets seme again. 8 years later they happen to meet on the street. they catch up and uke confesses he left cuz he started to like seme. seme happily accepts and says he liked uke all this time too. they start dating. very sweet with each other except seme sometimes gets weird and dark lol. uke starts suspecting seme is stalking him cuz seme knows too much stuff uke never told seme. he confronts seme and seme reveals it's true and that actually he hates uke for abandoning him all those years ago. he runs off. honestly impressed with the communication of this couple lol uke always saying his mind. then we see seme's side of the story. he actually likes uke a lot, but was just super hurt being abandoned. he spent all his time trying to find uke again, slowly gathering clues. and now he's super depressed even though he ended things with uke. uke is determined to find seme again, cuz he kinda of understands seme would be angry with him for leaving all those years ago. he catches seme on the street and they go home to talk. uke says he forgives seme and they get together again cuz ofc seme doesn't really hate uke. after that they're super sweet and seme's possessiveness is played off like a cute thing lol.

friends since kindergarten. dating since middle school. now together 2 years in high school. uke wanting to have sex while seme has made no moves. most of story is just them doing it for the first time, very slowly moving towards penetration and then uke wanting to do it more than once. then we see them graduating and planning to go to uni. they are planning to room together while going to different schools that are close by.
