My summary: In a corrupted Japan, after one of the four kings (the Red king) raids Sarasa's village and kills her father and brother, Sarasa takes on her brother's identity and rises as a rebel leader. It would be fair to say that the Red King and 'Tatara' are destined enemies. However, while they're each plotting and campaigning to kill the other, they end up meeting in disguise and falling in love. One of my all-time favorites. I love the Romeo X Juliet style stories. Shuri and Sarasa both end up taking important people from the other and that just adds to weight of their love. The politics, alliances, and adventures add further richness to the story.

I found it similar to Basara (the war plot) and Crazy Girl Shin Bia (the travelling to another world). It felt really cold though so 3 stars.

I watched both animes a few years back and now I decided to read it and it was still really good. The story pulls you in and you never get bored. Despite the tags I put up, the story isn't completely angsty. There's a lot of good times and a lot of bad times. It feels very real, very layered, and that's what draws you in.

This one is pretty nice. No romance tho just plain hate and vengeance

Bittersweet. The uke finds out he's terminally ill while his husband is having an affair. As a result of being fully dependent on his husband for the last decade, once the uke leaves, he finds himself with nothing to look forward to. The doctor falls in love with the uke but the uke has already embraced his death. It's a story about loving a person that doesn't want to live.
