Mameiha's manga / #guys with kids(26)

Terpenoid

Complete | okadaya tetuzoh | 2011 released

It's a great manga, but I get pissed at parents like this. You DO NOT put your life on hold for your child unless you want a clingy, spoiled "mama's boy" who will interfere in your life even after they become adults. You INCLUDE your child in your life. Be honest and open with them, don't hide trivial or important things. Even in a homosexual couple, children NEED to see two adults interacting in adult relationships in order to know how to handle them when they become adults. If you're cold to your partner or spouse in front of children, they will assume that that is the correct way to treat their partner or spouse in the future. Conversely, if you show your children that two adults can be warm, loving, supportive and caring, that is how they will treat their future partners. When an argument arises, don't hide it, but argue like adults. Even if there is a "blow up" of emotion, let them see. Then, let them see how you calm down and talk it through to arrive at a solution. This is how children, especially young children, learn... through example. No one "taught" me this. I learned by trial and error with three sons. Sons who love me and their dad immensely, come to us often for advice and treat their partners the same way they saw my husband and me treat each other... with love, warmth, kindness, respect and compassion.

Mabataki No Aida

Yaoi tag is incorrect. If this were any further from being yaoi, it would be shoujo.

Hare no Hi (ASADA Nemui)

Complete | Asada Nemui | 2014 released

This is a brilliant story about a gay father and son. There is no incest or anything weird, just a son coming out to his dad and a dad coming out to his son. Absolutely beautiful and masterfully done.

Family Simulation!!

Complete | Matsuyoshi Aco | 2000 released

I really didn't want either of these stories to end! Both couples were so sweet, endearing and genuine, I'll miss them.

Patchwork (fujitani Youko)

Complete | fujitani youko | 2000 released

I'd have liked to see more than a one shot of this story. As it is, the flow is confusing. There is a kiss in what seems to be college, then nothing for seven years. Next page, "Let's live together as a family with my sister's abandoned daughter! Yay!" What? Is it common for ANYONE to do this? The plot concept had great potential, but I can see why it stayed a one shot. The concept was hastily and poorly executed. This is a story that couldn't be told in one chapter, yet it was squeezed into one. Such a shame.
