(wow the orientalism is strong in this one) so all of a sudden the lack of a language barrier became.... offputting? s2 ch30 -- at this point i will believe that the emperor is in love and that ling zhi is too but they're both withholding themselves because of their respective goals. so far i've been the most disappointed by the snow king and former bffl whatsherface -- i keep expecting a sike there but guess not everyone can act as well as the 2 leads. i just want them to be the royal power couple and establish peace so all races can chill :// all these harem girls need to diE pronto

does this author..... not know how nobility work??? it's like she only chose this setting for the hype and aesthetics. all the courtesy/etiquette, fashion/hair, ceremonies/politics are just disregarded. even timing? people of rank can't just show up somewhere without being announced but here these dudes are just teleporting to the palace and back LOL even if there's a bunch of webtoons that don't try to be accurate (cus it's fantasy ig) this really stretches it HAHA

3.5/5 - nice characterization, i feel like the novel would flesh out the relationships more though
