Well... He wasn't too bad, but he was pretty dense and wishy-washy. I didn't particularly like his ex, but I didn't really blame her either. To be with a woman for 2 1/2 years and merely regard her as little more than a blowup doll for stress relief isn't my idea of romance.

Have to say that I really enjoyed this story. She was such an interesting person and had a lot to overcome, but she sure had a lot to give. ML had better understand that she’s totally special or her violinist friend will kick his butt (and I would help if I was a fictional character in the story). Her relationship with his parents was quite heartwarming. Very well written. My only caveat is the double standard: He boinks everything in skirts that's willing, yet a woman doing the same is not an adorable female playboy, but a slut. The story didn't come out and say that and I'm not a total prude, but totally unrestrained promiscuity I find somewhat distasteful. Also, fiction about "true love" notwithstanding, totally promiscuous men almost invariably remain that way, regardless of marital status.

I liked it. He sure took his time, though, and feeling devastating guilt over something that wasn't his fault is quite unhealthy. Glad he got over it.

I rather enjoyed this story. Really loved the FL and liked her best friend a lot. ML wasn’t a bad sort, but was a bit of an idiot. His dad was a twerp.

It was nice. ML started off kind of clueless but he learned well.

She rocked, but he spent the first half of the story as pretty much of a lost puppy. I'm glad that he turned around. The dude who accosted her in the Parisian cafe needed to have his jaw broken. The jealous hoe who tried to hurt the FL in her anger against the ML is filth.

Not bad, but lots of loose ends and unexplained stuff. I never quite understood where the baby came from. I also had trouble wrapping my head around him boinking all sorts of chicks when he was still married. Dude, get a divorce before dipping your wick 24 and 7!

Not to be a contrarian or to say that I was a rebellious son, but when your father sabotages your love life, it's a red flag of epic proportions about the father-son relationship.

Pretty good story. Aside from the main plot lines, I was impressed how it portrayed the whole spectrum of bigotry. Even the vicar seemed to think that she should be grateful that he was interested in her romantically, since she wasn't "light, white, tight, and bright." It's something I noticed back in my youth, when many young men (and their families) thought that a non-Anglo-Saxon girlfriend was pretty much like a mistress. It was cool for sex and romance, but one just didn't marry those sort of girls. Some of the prejudice and bigotry was overt and some was extremely subtle and unconscious, but there sure was a lot of it.

Sorry to be such a downer, but Mr. Perfect was a perfect sap. His "I know best" attitude would make any sane woman homicidal, and the fact that he was so damn pushy about making her finish her ghastly father's work when she was obviously distraught at the thought of it gave me a very low opinion of his empathy. He also blew hot and cold on her until anyone would have been in complete confusion about his feelings. In other words, he was a completely unobservant and unempathetic dope.
