Always the Hero
It was good. The ML learned about his own selfishness, and wasn't wrapped around the axle about being on the moral high ground like so many volunteer types who see "normies" and untermenschen.
The Nanny and the Boss's Twins
I enjoyed it. The ML was pretty dense but not a jerk or a creep. He also wasn't an "I want you" horndog like so many HQ MLs.
An Independent Woman
As Abbadon would say, "Communicate, you morons!" It seemed like neither of them had a brain. The story seemed to have a lot of far-fetched situations and atypical reactions by the characters just to move the plot along. If the sister knew the ML wanted Julia, why did she allow her idiot husband to repeat a bunch of stupid gossip and suppositions and not correct him. Also, it had that really annoying Neels trope of the two sisters deciding what was best for the FL, which coincidentally lined up with their own interest and convenience. "I need money, so it's in your best interest to sell the house." Greedy and selfish, much?
MISTRESS FOR HIRE/ THE CINDERELLA VALENTINE
They start off as complete a**holes and end up as complete love muffins. Please find a new trope!
Conveniently Engaged To The Boss
She was a total sweetheart without being a doormat at all. His father was great and a class act. The ML was alright, but his Sam-the-Eagle type seriousness went way over the line and ended up pretty morbid. He was still a good guy, if more than a little dense.
One Heir...Or Two
ML had some problems, but being beaten continuously as a child would give anyone trauma. He didn't allow it to turn him into an utter creep like so many HQ MLs.
Princess's Nine-Month Secret
Wow.. Her parents were supremely selfish, compulsive liars, and as unloving as they come. And yet she comes back and trusts them again. Do they have to murder her husband and child before her eyes for her to see them for the manipulative psychopaths they are?
Vengeful Vows
I rather enjoyed the story. The father, however, was an idiot who made everyone, including himself, miserable. I've definitely known the type, who blame everyone else for their mistakes and transgressions and go down in misery like a sinking battleship firing on its rescuers. The grudge is the most important thing and redemption is only on their terms.
Once For All Time
I'm shocked! The doctor was neither a moron nor a supercilious jerk. His family was warm and loving and he didn't have any relatives with ulterior motives and no manners. Also, the FL wasn't a doormat and an idiot and didn't have a jealous, manipulative sister or mother.
