Also "I didn't do anything wrong to have to make excuses, you should have trusted me," doesn't cut it. He obviously wanted to be rid of her. He's about as trustworthy as a weasel promising to guard a henhouse.

Wow. Everyone around her was a pile of excrement and she was too stupid to breathe on her own. After all the crap he gave her, over and over, she still went back to him. The ML was stupid enough to be the poster boy of Morons Are Us, his father was a conniving old bastard, the bimbo he kept hanging with was a lying slut, and her brother was the typical relative who wants to borrow money but "don't tell anyone." This is the second HQ in a row with a similar plot and characters. I'm disappointed.
